Tindora Sabji Recipe

Try this tindora sabji recipe, this goes well with phulka, roti or chapatti.


Ingredients

  • Kovakkai - 1/2 kg

  • Onion - 2 big size

  • Ginger - a small piece

  • Garlic - 6 cloves

  • Cumin Seeds -1/2 tsp

  • Coriander Powder -1 tsp

  • Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp

  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp

  • Salt - 1/2 tsp

  • Oil - tbsp

  • Coriander leaves.

Method:

  1. In a pan add oil. when the oil heated up add cumin seeds and let it splutter.

  2. Add onion and saute

  3. Add ginger garlic paste and saute till the the onion cooked well.

  4. Add coriander powder and turmeric powder and saute it for 1 minute. Do not burn the powders.

  5. Add Kovakkai or Tindora in the pan .

  6. Add Chili powder, Garam masala powdeand salt.Mix it well and cover it with a lid.

  7. Keep it in low flame for 10 minutes .

  8. Dont forget to stir for every 2 minutes .

  9. When the Tindora nicely cooked tranfer it to a serving bowl and garnish it with Coriander leaves.
