Kara Chutney Recipe | Onion Tomato Chutney

Ingredients
Tomatoes - 2
Onions -1
Curry leaf - handful
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Red chilies - 4
Black gram dal - 1tsp
Oil
Salt
Method
Add 1 tsp of oil in a pan. Keep the pan in low flame.
Add black gram dal and 2 red chilies, saute it till the lentils become golden brown.
Add onions and saute it 2 minutes.
Add tomatoes and 1/2 tsp salt and cover the pan with lid and let it cook for 2 minutes.
Blend the mixture to a fine paste and then transfer it to a serving bowl.
For tempering add 1 tsp of oil, heat it and add mustard seeds and 2 red chilies.
Switch off the flame and then add curry leaves.
Add the tempering to the red chutney.
