Kanda Poha |Yummy Maharashtrian Breakfast Recipe

Poha is an extremely delicious breakfast which is quick to make. For all those rushing to office, poha is a great option. Learn how to make poha also called kanda poha in Maharashtrian style by following this recipe and enjoy!


Ingredients

  • Flat rice/Poha - 250 grams

  • Onion - 1

  • Green chilies - 3

  • Peanuts

  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp

  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp

  • Lemon

  • Coriander leaves

  • Curry leaves

  • Sugar

  • Dry coconut

  • Oil

Method

  1. Add oil in a pan. Let it heat up.

  2. Add cumin seeds and let it splutter.

  3. Add peanuts, saute it. Then add shopped onions and saute it well.

  4. Add green chilies, curry leaves and turmeric powder. Saute it well.

  5. Add flat rice, salt and sugar. Mix it well.

  6. Sprinkle little bit of water and cover it with lid. Cook it for 5 minutes.

  7. Add grated dry coconut. Switch off the flame and add lemon juice and coriander leaves.
