This is an easy to follow recipe for Mysore Pak. Try this to get the perfect brown center and light brown edges.
Ingredients
Ghee - 2 cups
Gram Flour - 1 cup
Sugar - 1.5 cups
Water - 1/2 cup
Method
Keep two pan ready. In one pan add ghee and heat it on high flame.
In another pan add sugar and water and heat it till the sugar dissolves and bubbles start forming.
In a bowl add gram flour and add 2 tbs of hot ghee and mix well.
To check sugar consistency , take a bowl of water and pour few drops of sugar syrup. If the sugar syrup settles at the bottom of the cup then the sugar syrup is ready.
Add the gram flour to the sugar syrup and stir well to avoid lumps.
Keep adding the hot ghee little by little and keep stirring to avoid the mixture getting stuck to the pan.
When the raw smell of gram flour goes away and when you start to notice froth in the mixture then switch off the flame.
Pour the mixture into a greased pan and let it cool down for 15 minutes.
Cut it into pieces and store the mysore pak in an airtight container.
