Restaurant Style Matar Paneer Recipe

Ingredients
Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Chili powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Bay leaf - 1
Cardamon - 2 pods
Cinnamon - small piece
Onion - 1
Tomatoes - 3
Ginger garlic paste - 1tsp
Coriander leaves
Cashews - 10 grams
Green peas - 100 grams
Panner - 250 gms
Oil - 3tbs
Fresh Cream - 1/2 cup
Water
Method
Add oil in the pan. Let it heat.
Add 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds and let it splutter.
Then add cardamon and onions. Saute it well for half a minute.
Add ginger garlic paste and salt. Saute it till the onions get golden brown.
Add coriander powder and turmeric powder and add cashews. Saute it well.
Then add the chopped tomatoes.
Add chili powder and 1/4 tsp of garam masala and cover it with lid. Cook it for 5 minutes.
Transfer the mixture from the pan to a blender and grind it to a fine paste.
Take another pot and add 1 cup of water and green peas and bring it to boil.
Meanwhile shallow fry the paneer in 1 tbs of oil.
Cook it for two minutes.
In a pan Add 2 tbs of oil and add cinnamon, bay leaf and clove.
Add the ground paste and saute it for 2 minutes and keep stirring so that the paste doesn't get stuck to the pan.
Add half a cup of water, green peas and fried paneer.
Add crushed kasuri methi and 1/2 tsp pf garam masala. Cook it for 2 minutes.
Finally add fresh cream and cook it for a minute. Do not cook for longer than a minute or else the cream will curdle.
Transfer the Matar Paneer to a serving bowl and garnish it with coriander.
