Bottle Guard with Bengal Gram Dal Curry Recipe

Ingredients
Bengal Gram dal -1 cup
Bottle guard diced - 250 gram
Ginger garlic paste - 1 spoon
Tomato- 2
Green chili slit - 2
Coriander powder -1 tsp
Chili powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala - ¼ tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Asafoetida (hing) - a pinch
Water - 2 cup
Ghee or oil - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves
Method
In a pressure cooker add ghee and heat it.
Add cumin seed to the hot ghee
When it splutters add asafoetida, coriander powder and turmeric powder. Make sure it doesn't get burned.
Add tomato and salt and saute it. Cover it with a lid and cook it in low flame for 3 minutes
When the oil comes out from the cooker add Bengal gram dal and bottle guard.
Add 2 cups of water
Cover it with lid and cook it in pressure cooker, after 1 whistle keep the cooker in low flame for 15 minutes
When the pressure releases give it a good stir and garnish it with coriander leaves.
